Points of Interest and Reminders

 

1. Please plan to arrive during daylight hours.  Lots of  Deer in the area, beautiful scenery   also.

 

2. Bring comfortable walking shoes and river shoes.

 

3. If you have not made your reservation please do so as soon as possible.

 For those desiring a motel in town (the closest town is Leakey) pronounced Lakey,   Frio Canyon Lodge.  8302326800.  www.friocanyonlodge.com.  There is a pool and Restaurant there. The restaurant is open from 1100-2100.

Caters to Motorcycle organizations 830-232-5246 in Leakey also.

 

Things to Do and See

1.      Garner State Park

2.      Hiking, river Tubing, Paddle boats, bikes for Rent, very reasonable.

3.      Lost Maples, very beautiful state park about 20 miles from steppin back.  It is a beautiful drive also.
